It provides a framework of strategies and skills to address problems that come up in the work environment.
In previous blogs I have written about The Personnel Group’s expanding service offering and our move into the Allied Health space.
Our vision is to provide our customers with a variety of services that all assist with preparing for and then maintaining employment.
This week we begin opening pathways for customers across our footprint to access psychology services, including Work Focused CBT, from our Allied Health team.
Work Focused CBT is an evidenced-based therapy and psychology service that can assist people with mental health issues or mental illness to return to the workforce, or to maintain their employment.
It provides a framework of strategies and skills to address problems that come up in the work environment. Research has shown that a combination of Work Focused CBT combined with individualised job support, results in an increased likelihood of employment.
Considering The Personnel Group already boasts one of the highest placement rates in the industry, this should see even greater outcomes for our customers.
Bringing these psychology services in-house has a two-fold benefit for our customers – it allows us to overcome the significant access issues we experience as a regional provider; with some communities we support having very low availability of psychology appointments.
Additionally, this move allows the psychologist and Employment Consultant to work hand-in-hand, designing supports and strategies that wrap around the customer from a variety of angles.
This is all part of our focus on placing our customers at the centre of the game, and to surround them with supports that can aid the journey towards employment and beyond.
Current customers can initiate a referral for our psychology services by talking to their Employment Consultant, and the broader public can be referred by contacting their local The Personnel Group office.
