Since 1986 The Personnel Group has been a leading and trusted Disability Employment Service provider helping people with a disability, injury or mental health condition find employment.

Today, we provide a more holistic range of services for our clients and the community, who may require more than employment services, by offering health, training, and community services, to help people to achieve their goals.

Pathway to Work

Pathway to Work (PtW) is a 12-month program designed to help NDIS recipients of working age who may need some help to plan their next step in seeking employment. Participants attend our PtW workshop where they will learn about topics that are designed to address key skills required by employers today. They will also learn everyday life skills to help them gain and keep a job.

The cost for Pathway to Work is determined by a participant’s NDIS plan and falls under two categories: Fixed rate and Variable rate. A fixed-rate charge of $35 an hour is an average price however, under some circumstances with larger class sizes, that rate can be lower.

Pathway to Work is delivered over 12 months with a minimum of one day a week to attend face-to-face workshops which will cover a range of practical topics to equip you with the necessary knowledge to help you get and keep a job. All sessions are delivered in a small group setting.

Anyone with an NDIS plan with appropriate funding (core funding and capacity building) is eligible for Pathway to Work. However, the program largely focuses on individuals 15 years or older because they are of working age.

Programs are run all throughout school terms and you can join up with your local group throughout the year.

The Personnel Group’s Employer Relationship Coordinator’s will source work experience for Pathway to Work participants based on what their interests are. Participants can also source their own work experience if they prefer.
