Shared Experience a life-changing opportunity

Cian “Pickles” – the first participant in The Personnel Group’s Shared Experience program to move into work placement – is on track to secure paid employment with Lone Star Rib House and Brews, Orange.

“He is taking orders, clearing tables, he’s a happy front of house staff member,” Lone Star franchisee Belinda says.

“If he continues to do what he’s doing then I will put him on as a paid employee.”

Belinda says the Shared Experience program and support from The Personnel Group has been very positive.

“It’s fantastic. What they’re doing is not only helping the person involved, it’s also helping out the company,” Belinda says.

“It’s a great, great idea.”

For Pickles, who is undertaking a Certificate III in Hospitality, Shared Experience has been life changing.

“I’m really happy with it, It’s definitely a very good learning environment.

“I’ve learned a lot. I’ve learned how to deal with other people. I’ve got a lot more patience.

“I’m really excited to get this opportunity.”
