committed to help you every step of the way
School Leaver Employment Support (SLES) is for NDIS participants with SLES funding, who are thinking about or have recently left school to find employment.
SLES provides training support to help you prepare for the workforce as well as providing you with community involvement and work experience opportunities to help build your knowledge and skills.
Whether you wish to engage for one, two, or three times days a week, we can provide you with flexible options that will support you to achieve your goals.
Some highlights of our SLES training include:
- An individual plan tailored to your needs and ambitions.
- A variety of training formats – small group training sessions, site tours, guest speakers, community activities, and online and face-to-face knowledge development activities.
- Creating your resume
- Work experience and volunteer opportunities.
- Short courses in areas that interest you!
You will also build your knowledge and skills across employment-related topics including:
- Communication in a workplace
- How to dress for success
- Managing stress and looking after your mental health
- Managing money
- Digital Knowledge
- Developing greater resilience and confidence
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution
Once we help you find a job that’s right for you, we can provide further support via our Disability Employment Service or NDIS.
