The NDIS can provide funding to support you in finding and keeping a job that suits your skills and goals. Depending on your needs, this support may include:

  • Helping you overcome barriers to employment
  • Providing NDIS employment counselling to build confidence and job readiness
  • Assessing workplace needs and adjustments
  • Assisting with resume writing and interview preparation
  • Offering ongoing support before and after you start work

These supports fall under the “Finding and Keeping a Job” category (NDIS Capacity Building – Category 10), which is designed to help people with disability enter the workforce and gain independence. If securing a job or exploring a new career path is one of your goals, be sure to reach out to The Personnel Group to discover how we can support you.

If you’re about to leave school and want to get started on your employment goals, The Personnel Group can support you with specialised support to help you transition smoothly into the workforce. NDIS Youth Employment Assistance (formerly SLES) is designed to prepare young people for employment by building skills, confidence, and workplace readiness. This support can help you explore job opportunities, develop essential work skills, and take the next steps toward a meaningful career.

“Finding and Keeping a Job” is an NDIS-funded support that helps eligible participants prepare for, secure, and maintain meaningful employment.  You can utilise this funding by accessing specialised NDIS Employment Services at The Personnel Group.

Our NDIS Employment Services include:

  • Youth Employment Assistance (formerly SLES)
  • Individual Employment Support

Both services can provide you with employment services tailored to meet your needs, whether in a small group setting or individualised one-on-one support.

To benefit from “Finding and Keeping a Job” funding, you must be an eligible NDIS participant. When creating or reviewing your NDIS plan, make sure to highlight your goal of finding and maintaining employment.

Although not mandatory, additional supporting documents can strengthen your case. For instance, you may ask your school for a written statement outlining recommended capacity-building supports if you’re a school leaver, request an impact statement from your current disability services provider, or obtain a letter from your doctor explaining how employment support would benefit you.
