A new specialised training program for mature-age jobseekers is now available at The Personnel Group.

Career Transition Assistance (CTA) is a new and free training course available to people aged 45 years and over, who are currently seeking employment and are registered with a jobactive provider.

The program is designed to provide mature aged jobseekers with enhanced knowledge and skills, to gain a competitive edge in the jobs market. The training will be delivered in 8 modules over 8 weeks in a relaxed group setting. Upon completion, people will be armed with skills to immediately assist them with their job search, including enhanced interview skills, an accredited first aid certificate, a tailored career path plan and digital literacy skills required for the modern workplace.

The Personnel Group’s CEO, Tracey Fraser says “We are proud to be able to offer a much needed program to the community. Initial feedback has been positive and we’re sure that Career Transition Assistance will be embraced and be a resounding success.” The course content is practical and relevant to the community they live in, with information about the local employment market and onsite visits to local employers.”

The program will be delivered in a rolling sequence, so eligible people can join at any time, and complete each module week by week. It will be delivered in the following towns – Lavington, Griffith, Goulburn, Nowra, Shellharbour, Wagga Wagga, Bendigo, Shepparton and Belconnen.
