Our Key Service Commitments

The Personnel Group is a not-for-profit organisation that supports people through specialised employment, training, health and community services. Our Parent Pathways service is adaptive and responsive to the changing needs of parents and their families. The Personnel Group is dedicated to supporting parents through a range of personalised services that address their unique needs and promote their well-being and that of their children.
The components of TPG’s Key Service Commitment are:
- Person-Centred: The Personnel Group understands each parent’s unique situation, aspirations, and challenges through individual assessments that build strong and supportive relationships.
- Empathetic Communication: The Personnel Group’s interactions with parents are grounded in empathy and trust, often facilitated by mentors who have personal experience or have previously benefited from the service themselves.
- Individualised Case Management: The Personnel Group customises its services for each parent, considering their specific needs and contexts. The Goal Plan is flexible and collaboratively developed.
- Child-Friendly Servicing: The Personnel Group engages children through activities like the TPG Explorers Club to support both child well-being and parent engagement. Permanent sites are child safe, contain age-appropriate activities to enhance children’s abilities, and have suitable feeding and changing facilities.
- Culturally Appropriate Servicing: The Personnel Group respects cultural diversity by providing materials in different languages, respecting cultural norms, and employing culturally representative mentors.
- Continual Improvement: The Personnel Group has systems in place to receive feedback that can lead to immediate adjustments. TPG has quarterly focus groups and bi-weekly Continual Improvement Committee meetings.
- Peer Support and Group Activities: The Personnel Group fosters community and mutual support among parents through group activities and peer-led sessions.
- Mental Health Support: The Personnel Group provides emotional support and resources for parents dealing with mental health challenges and offers referrals when necessary.
- Financial Guidance: The Personnel Group offers advice and resources for financial management, including budgeting, debt management, and access to financial aid.
